Terms of Use
The agreement between you and weli when you use this website, register for a training, or commission an engagement.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and weli, an independent consulting and training practice operating from Canada ("we", "us"). By using this website or buying anything from us, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. What this site is
This site describes our consulting engagements, our trainings, and our point of view on AI deployment. Content on the site — articles, frameworks, sample artifacts — is provided for general information. It is not professional, legal, financial, or compliance advice. Do not act on it without your own review.
3. Trainings — registration and payment
- Booking. A seat in a training cohort is reserved the moment payment clears through Stripe. Until then, the seat is not held.
- Price. The price displayed at the time you pay is the price. Early-bird prices end on the date stated on the cohort page; standard pricing applies afterwards.
- Currency. All prices on this site are in US dollars. Your bank may convert to your local currency at its own rate.
- Receipt. Stripe sends an automatic receipt to the email address you provide. We recommend keeping it for reimbursement or expense purposes.
4. Trainings — cancellation and refunds
- More than 7 days before the cohort starts — full refund, minus the Stripe processing fee.
- Between 7 days and 24 hours before the cohort starts — 50% refund. The remaining 50% holds your seat for the next cohort if you confirm transfer in writing within 14 days.
- Less than 24 hours before the cohort starts, or after it has begun — no refund. You may transfer your seat to another named person at no charge if you tell us before the session you cannot attend.
- If we cancel a cohort — full refund, processed within 7 business days. We will also offer a seat in the next cohort.
- Missed sessions. The cohort is live and not recorded for distribution. If you miss a session, we will share a short written summary, but there is no recording or make-up session.
To request a cancellation or transfer, write to contact@weli.ai from the email address you used to register. We respond within one business day.
5. Trainings — what is included and what is not
- Included. Live attendance at the sessions stated on the cohort page, the prep checklist, the cohort communication channel for the duration of the training, and any handout materials we publish during the cohort.
- Not included. One-to-one consulting outside the live sessions, recordings of live sessions, certification, employer-issued continuing-education credit, or guaranteed business outcomes from applying what you learn.
6. Consulting engagements
Paid consulting engagements (readiness audits, architecture design, workflow deployment) are governed by a separate written engagement letter signed before work begins. Where the engagement letter and these terms conflict, the engagement letter controls.
7. Acceptable use of the website and cohort channels
When using this site, our forms, our cohort communication channels, or any service we provide, you agree not to:
- Submit information that is false, misleading, or impersonates another person.
- Attempt to interfere with the operation of the site or any service (probing, scraping at volume, attempting to bypass access controls, sending malware).
- Harass, demean, or discriminate against other cohort participants or our team.
- Share private cohort materials, recordings (we do not distribute recordings; this also covers any informal recording you make), or another participant's personal information outside the cohort without consent.
We may remove a participant from a cohort and withhold refunds for breach of this section. Persistent abuse may be reported to authorities or platform providers.
8. Intellectual property
- Our materials. The content on this site and the materials we share in trainings (slides, written exercises, frameworks) are owned by us. You may use them for your own learning and inside the organisation that paid for your seat. You may not republish, resell, or train AI models on them without written permission.
- Your materials. Anything you bring into the cohort or an engagement remains yours. We do not claim rights to your code, data, or documents.
- Feedback. If you give us feedback on the training or site, we may use it to improve what we do, without payment or credit to you.
9. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
10. Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is". The information on it may be incomplete or out of date. We do not guarantee specific outcomes from our trainings or engagements — the value depends on your situation and what you do with what you learn. Where allowed by law, we exclude warranties not expressly given in these terms or in a signed engagement letter.
11. Limitation of liability
Where the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected to the site, a training, or an engagement is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, loss of data not caused by our negligence). Nothing in these terms limits liability we cannot lawfully limit — for example, for our own fraud, gross negligence, or serious personal injury caused by our acts.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes that are not resolved in good-faith discussion go to the courts of Ontario. If you are a consumer based in another country, mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country still apply to you.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our practice changes or when the law requires. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. For active customers, we will give notice of material changes by email. Continued use of the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
